Sparkle is something that has been around for generations.  Recently, I have noticed in all my materials from the Atlanta and the High Point markets that crystal, mirrors, chromed products, and other glittery items are showing up.  Have you thought about adding some of these sparkle elements to your family or dining room or even your bedroom?  Come by to see some of the sparkle we have here in the showroom for options.  Of course, whenever something new is introduced at markets, we designers get excited.  We love seeing new introductions, even if something has been in style in the past.  
 

June’s Weekly Blog – Old and New

When working with clients, we try to encourage them to have more of an open vision. With most of our clients, we are trying to blend old and new with their own ideas. The old and comfortable are thrown in with something new and sparkly, like a crystal chandelier, crystal lamps or a dazzling mirror. When helping our clients, we encourage rooms that flow and have a purpose.

For a recent client, it was her kitchen that she said everyone congregates in, no matter what. So our thoughts were to make it where life takes place; cooking, writing, talking on the phone or thinking, as we are designing it. First we draw it on paper and then we move things around about a dozen times before we come to terms on the best solution. Remodeling is also one of our specialties. As one client said, “people don’t understand you guys do it all, from drawing a plan, to choosing all the elements that go into the remodel”. June’s Weekly Blog – lonely lamps in need of a home!

Ahhh, look at all the lonely lamps!!..All the loney lamps, where do they all come from? (remember that one?)

Every year June DeLugas interiors’ Retail Shoppe and Showroom has a lonely lamp sale and our customers look forward to this event. Most people buy lamps in pairs, however, occasionally lamps are sold as a single leaving the mate alone in our store. As this event nears, we start thinking about the clients we are working with and their needs. We either call or e-mail them to make sure they know that June DeLugas interiors’ biggest store event of the year is coming up February l3-l7th.
Lighting is such an important element of room design. Lamps add an ambient tone and character to corners, end tables, console tables, desks, buffets, kitchen counters and built- in shelving units. I personally have a lamp fetish. Lamps serve as pieces of art. My family room has 4 lamps, 6 cans and 2 puck lights, as well as a chandelier.

Love is what we think of when February roles around because of Valentine’s Day. June DeLugas Interiors is known for comfortable, calm, and sophisticated styling that also brings love to your rooms. Most often the words we hear when we finish a project is “I LOVE IT.”

Morning comes early when planning a day at the Atlanta market. As the sun starts to peek through the clouds above the Atlanta skyline, I peek at the computer to catch up on things at the design center in Clemmons before spending the day at the antiques market. Look at the fabulous finds I scored at the market! I could not resist this hand painted screen…and I love the idea of this furniture made from reclaimed wood.
